3/9/2024 0 Comments Popcap zuma deluxe 1.0 key![]() I can send the correct sysex to the controller to allow the LED toggle functionality by using one of the aforementioned sysex editors, but the. I’m currently in a sysex swamp trying to deal with Bome’s SendSX (which crashes) and MIDI-OX (which is ultra complex) in order to get the top row of buttons, those with the heading ‘Track Focus’, to toggle their LED lights along with the mute state (CC#94). ![]() I previously had a MIDIMIX, but was attracted to the LCXL by the larger knobs, template changing (which I have yet to start work on) and the pads that can be made to toggle LED states - oh, wait, you can’t configure the LEDs from the official editor, so an integral part of the controller (for me, at least) is borked. If you are still struggling PM me and we can try to sort it that way. The Factory default routings should connect the USB MIDI to the DINs automatically. You mentioned a different power source in your response… and say it has made a difference with the LEDs what was that difference? are the LEDs staying on now?Īnother thing you could try is reseting the Bomebox back to factory default and if needed maybe updating the firmware on it too, I think you may need to contact Bomes to get that though. Although I have no idea about the ‘pending’ stuff… sorry. But the Bomebox is a very comprehensive MIDI utility so these different IDs should not have any detrimental effect. I maybe mistaken but I believe both the Launch Control products have a couple of USB IDs which are set-up to be the Script templates ID (for Ableton etc), the HUI control ID and the MIDI controller ID. ‘LC’ would suggest a Launch Control rather than Launch Control XL too. I’ve checked out on the Bomebox MIDI router page too and I’m seeing ‘USB 1 Launch Control XL ’ and ‘USB Launch Control XL ’ in all my relevant slots but I’m not seeing LC 1,2 or USB LC etc. I would recommend re-updating LCXL with the correct 1.2 updater from (running this installer will also verify if the version is still at version 59 - which is correct and also working fine here). If you have tried to send the 1.1b3 file to LCXL I suppose that could cause a problem although I cannot say for sure. The 1.1b3 installer from the Novation beta site is actually only for the Launch Control (not the XL) so that’s why it won’t work. The only difference a different power source has made is with the LED display. To summarise, I still believe that the issue lies with either the 1.1b3 file and/or the 1.2 updater. ![]() May I also ask, Do you know what the 4 types of ins/outs on the LCXL? When setting up the routes in the bome, there are 4 XL in/out types LC 1, LC 2, USB LC 1, USB LC 2, What does that mean? Then I plug the usb into the bome box and get no response. Indications from the XL were as expected. Then opened the editor and loaded all your templates. I then tried to send the 1.1b3 fiIe.(probably unsuccessfully). When I first set the XL up I downloaded that updater and it updated the unit to version 59. What is the difference between the 1.1b3 file from the Beta site and the XL Updater 1.2 on the official site? I am now powering the Box from the wall and the only difference that has made is a different light show. I must say this whole setup is really confusing me now and frustrating the hell out of me. If you are still struggling I’d recommend contacting Bomes directly and seeing if they are able to help. I’m using an Apple phone charger to power mine and it seems pretty solid. It provides 48V power, which is converted to rock stable 5V inside the BomeBox :)” The other option is to use a (cheap) PoE injector for powering the BomeBox using the PoE In Ethernet port. You can use one of the hub’s ports to power the BomeBox, too. The best answer to that is to either not use a passive hub, or to use a powered hub. In particular when using a passive hub, such a voltage drop can be problematic for powering USB-MIDI devices. Some power supplies just don’t have enough headroom so when there is more current needed, voltage goes down temporarily. Otherwise said, the only issues we’ve had so far with production BomeBoxes is issues with USB power supplies. “Regarding issues with LCXL: it’s most likely a power problem. infact this is what Florian actually said… (I’m sure he won’t mind me quoting him :o) If your LCXL is not responsive through Bomebox this sounds likely to me too. When I spoke with Florian yesterday he did say that the only issue he’s had with Bomebox is power supplies not being strong enough. I’ve checked out my LCXL through Bomebox too and it’s working perfectly and sending MIDI out to my MIDI monitor as expected. Initially I did have a few issues with connecting to the Bomebox network but after a chat with the genius that is Florian Bomers! it was soon sorted. I actually got my Bomebox out yesterday and tested it, and after a firmware upgrade on the Bomebox everything is working perfectly.
